Heaven or Hell, which is it?
Why would a loving God, create and send people to hell to an everlasting suffering and torment? Furthermore, why would God judge those who accept him and are saved by his grace? Are we really put on this earth as a probation period, judged by our character, to the deeds we do good or bad? Let’s really see what the scriptures say…
2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the Judgement seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
The Bible shares there are two judgements, one for those who repent and accept Christ as their savior by faith called the Judgement seat of Christ and the other the White Throne Judgement for those who did not accept Christ as their savior. The Bible is very clear that the Judgement seat of Christ is for the believer and only their deeds will be judged, and their reward is for eternal life in heaven and with Christ here on earth.
The White Throne Judgement is for those who rejected Christ as the Son of God, and their judgment is eternal life in hell, suffering and being tormented. Do you know that heaven keeps books on every life with every deed recorded in them, and on judgement day your book is opened and read? WHAT WILL YOUR BOOK READ!
Know this once a soul is born of God, it is eternal, there is no death with man’s soul, either heaven of hell. Think about this…
What kind of society would we live in if people were allowed to lie, steal, cheat, murder, and deny God, heaven or hell? When you look at the world we live in today, and witness stores being ransacked, windows broken, buildings burned down, and carts of merchandise being stolen and wheeled right out of the store in plain sight! The law being disrespected!
Murders and rape from alien gang members crossing our borders illegal and committing these heinous crimes. Innocent children shot and killed by a stray bullet! Over 300,000+ deaths from people taking fentanyl. How would anyone in their right mind want to live in this type of society? I know I wouldn’t! Would you?
Thank God we who receive Christ are judged by the quality of our character, and the result is spending eternity in heaven and not hell. No matter what a person believes, if God, heaven and hell, exist or not, and all the intellectual thinking no matter how great does not change a single thing! They must by faith accept Christ as their Lord and Savior to avoid hell and go to heaven!
God put us on this earth to test us to see if we will accept his truth: the great mystery, “Christ in us the hope of Glory.” Can you believe that we actually enter the gates of heaven here on earth and not in heaven, that his holy spirit enters our body on a simple confession of faith! Matthew 16:18-1G And I say also unto thee that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. This great confession from Peter that Jesus is the Son of God allows us to enter his kingdom and receive the Holy Spirit to give us the power to overcome sin and death and live a life in the spirit of God. What an amazing God we serve. Romans 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
After we receive Christ, we are free from sin and death and only judged on our deeds good and bad, and given the Holy Spirit to help us build our character. Our name is written in the lamb’s book of life! Our crown is waiting for us, and we have a seat at his table. I would rather face Jesus with my character flaws and sit at His table than face the great white throne judgement and end up in hell.
Revelation 20:11-12 And a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works.
Those who do not accept Christ, will face another judgement, the Great White Throne Judgement and spend eternity in hell. Why would God create such a terrible place and send people who reject him there? The revelation I get is God created hell to keep us from hell, that his love is everlasting, and forgiveness is unending. Even if a person lived a life of drugs, robbed stores, committed murder, and on his dying breath confessed his sins and cried out to God he would be saved. How wonderful is our God?
Personally, I remember being in the second grade being taught in a Catholic boarding school about heaven and hell, and immediately after hearing about hell, said to myself, I want to go to heaven. In fact, I snuck into to the chapel and prayed to Jesus asking him to go to heaven and not hell. If a second-grade child learning of heaven and hell, turned to God, how hard can it be? Why doesn’t everyone want to know the truth, and seek God, I have no answer! The clues God has given us are so obvious. In conclusion, if hell wasn’t true and didn’t exist or I thought it didn’t exist would I have ever turned to God? Would anyone ever turn to God. Hell in my opinion, is the very thing God created to help us find HIM!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:1C
Heaven or Hell your soul is eternal, the choice is yours, your book is being written, and the deeds of your life recorded, no more hiding, it will all come to light!
